CEC BRINGS LE CORDON BLEU® BRAND NAME AND EDUCATION TO AUSTIN
Re-named Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Provides Hands-on, Global Experience to Area Students
AUSTIN, Texas (March 30, 2010) – Texas Culinary Academy announced today that it will adopt Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts as the school’s name, bringing the prestige of the Le Cordon Bleu brand name and the hands-on, quality educational experience of Texas Culinary Academy together. The U.S. culinary schools, owned by Career Education Corporation (CEC) (NASDAQ:CECO), also underwent a similar change.
The transition to the Le Cordon Bleu name reflects a continued commitment, on behalf of the faculty and staff, to provide students with the foundation for a fulfilling career. Texas Culinary Academy has provided our students with a quality culinary education for years following our Le Cordon Bleu academic program, and we’re excited to have that reflected in the name of our school.
“Our schools in the U.S. have produced a number of exceptional culinary professionals and continue to be dedicated to promoting the advancement of culinary education and training,” said Kirk T. Bachmann, vice president, academics, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. “We constantly work to enhance the educational experience of our students, and this is just one small example of our efforts.”
Uniting CEC’s culinary schools throughout the U.S. under the Le Cordon Bleu brand name not only enhances each school’s reputation and elevates its presence, but creates a national network of resources for the students and staff. Upon graduation, our students will join the more than 63,000 alumni who have chosen to take advantage of our school’s hands-on education provided by the experienced chef instructors.
