Guests receive a traditional, Spanish four-course meal paired with Spanish Wines
Cambridge, Mass. (Aug. 19, 2009) – Technique, Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts' student-run restaurant, is moving away from its French roots for the night on Tuesday, Sept. 22 to host a four-course, sit-down, Spanish-inspired wine dinner. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m., with dinner beginning promptly at 7 p.m.
Guests are served a traditional four-course Spanish dinner, each course paired with a different Spanish wine. Before each course, guests hear a presentation about each new wine, learn about its origin and why it was chosen to accompany each dish.
The menu includes items such as Albondiguillas de Pescado (shrimp and fish meatballs) for tapas served with Castillo Prelada Brut Riserva NV; and a fish course of Bacalao a la Vizcaina (Basque salt cod with dried peppers) paired with a 2006 Orellan Godello; an entrée of Hombro de Cerdo a la Poele (marinated, slow-cooked pork shoulder) paired with a 2006 Liberalia Cero; and for dessert, a course of Melocoton al Horno em Jarabe de Vino (baked peaches in wine syrup) paired with Lustau Muscat Superior 'Emilin.'
The cost of the event is $70 per person, which includes gratuity. Reservations are recommended, as this event has limited space, so please call Technique Restaurant at 617-886-8088.
