Certified Master Chef Speaks at Commencement Ceremony for Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando
Orlando, Fla. (July 10, 2010)- Le Cordon Bleu (LCB) College of Culinary Arts in Orlando, a leading provider of quality culinary education, recently had the pleasure of hosting Certified Master Chef Edward G. Leonard, to serve as the commencement speaker at graduation. The ceremony honored 143 graduates, 42 of who were noted for academic high honors and 37 for academic honors.
Chef Leonard serves as the vice president and corporate chef for the Le Cordon Bleu Schools in North America. He is one of only 72 Certified Master Chefs in the United States and a member of the World Master Chef Society along with being a certified WACS master chef. During his speech, Chef Leonard shared his advice for the graduates as they begin their careers in the culinary industry.
“You are embarking on your career at a time when one person can change the entire world,” said Chef Leonard. “There will never be another Julia Child. It’s debatable whether there is room for another Emeril. But the greatest gift you can give our profession and to yourself is to make a difference in all you do by shaping the culinary world in which you live.”
