Portland Chefs Converge on Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts to Explore
PORTLAND CHEFS CONVERGE ON LE CORDON BLEU COLLEGE OF CULINARY ARTS TO EXPLORE TRENDS IN SNACKS AND STREET FOOD
WHAT: Portland chefs descend on Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts to unleash their creativity on the topic of snacks and street food at PlateCooks, a one-day, regional tasting and cooking event hosted by Plate Magazine. The event will draw from the rich street food scene in Portland and the national street cart phenomena. In a mystery market basket challenge, teams will try to outdo one another as they whip up new and exotic twists on tacos, hot dogs, snacks and other street-cart fare. The day also includes demonstrations and tastings.
WHO: Area culinarians and Le Cordon Bleu chef instructors and students will join chefs featured in Plate Magazine. More than 50 local chefs, including those from Andina and Fenouil, and culinary professionals from Seattle’s Pyramid Breweries and Andaluca also will participate.
