California Culinary Academy's David Isenberg Named 2008 L' Esprit D' Excellence Award Winner

Local chef instructor recognized by Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 18, 2008) – Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America, provider of distinguished culinary arts training programs on 14 campuses in the United States, has announced the winners of its first annual L' Esprit d' Excellence Awards. The award recognizes educators for their contributions to their respective schools and acknowledges the unique learning experience they have helped cultivate as a result of their commitment to and passion for the field. California Culinary Academy (CCA) Chef Instructor David Isenberg was bestowed this honor following the input of his students, peers, and members of the school’s administration.

In addition to being a star instructor on CCA’s campus, Chef Isenberg is a graduate of the school’s culinary arts program. Following much success working in restaurants, country clubs, and catering operations, he returned to his alma mater in 2001 to become an instructor in both the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts and Hospitality & Restaurant Management programs. David was named CCA’s Chef Instructor of the Year for Hospitality & Restaurant Management in 2006.
