Experience Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN

A Smorgasbord of Urban Energy, Culture and Rugged Outdoor Beauty

Minneapolis/St. Paul is an exciting and cultured metropolitan area on the Mississippi River in “the land of 10,000 lakes.” Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota and St. Paul is the state capital. Our campus is located near the Mall of America, the largest retail complex in the United States, with an exciting variety of entertainment and attractions – including over 500 shops (if you spent just 10 minutes in each one, it would take over 80 hours to visit all of them), 20 sit-down restaurants, an amusement park and much more.(1) Throughout Minneapolis in every direction – from downtown to Dinkytown (near the University of Minnesota), the Riverfront to the Warehouse District and beyond, the city is alive with creative energy that draws residents and tourists to its theater, art and shopping districts. It also madeTravel and Leisure's list of America’s Best Cities for Foodies.(2) In St. Paul, the Xcel Center provides thrills and excitement for hockey fans, and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts draws students, visitors and residents for Broadway shows and a variety of other entertainment options. Outdoor living is also high on many Minnesotans’ “to do” lists. The Minneapolis-St. Paul area offers a bounty of year-round recreation choices – from downhill and cross-country skiing, camping, biking and walking paths to ice skating, fishing, swimming and other activities on over 20 lakes right in the city.
