This is a specialized culinary training program with an on-ground and online component that provides newcomers the best of both worlds. For students who are just starting their culinary education, the program begins with hands-on instruction in the professional kitchens at Le Cordon Bleu. Our professional instructors teach students foundational skills in cooking and baking, and provide training in key aspects of kitchen operations. Next, for newcomers and holders of a culinary arts Certificate or Diploma, the Associate in Culinary Operations provides comprehensive training focusing on the discipline of food service operations. This unique program can help students advance their career opportunities in customer service, procurement, purchasing, management and other areas of food service operations.

The program is designed for:

1] Individuals who have a culinary arts certificate or diploma and want to obtain their Associate degree; the online component offers the flexibility to study while continuing to work. (Such individuals may forego participation in the on-campus portion of the program, provided they have successfully transferred all hands-on courses.)  Acceptance of transfer credit is at the sole discretion of LCB.

2] Individuals starting their culinary education who want the hands-on culinary arts training at a Le Cordon Bleu campus for a period, and then complete the remainder of their 21-month* Associate in Culinary Operations program online.

Focusing on developing food service operations skills, the Associate in Culinary Operations provides training in:

  • Food safety and sanitation
  • Cost control and purchasing
  • Hospitality supervision and entrepreneurship
  • Restaurant and dining room management, and more.

Students can enjoy the flexibility to study from the comfort of home or on the go anytime, anywhere, as long as there is an Internet connection available. Our Associate in Culinary Operations program provides an opportunity to pursue a higher-level education that could help you pursue or advance in the culinary or foodservice industry while working full or part time.
