Fine Dining in Scottsdale

Scottsdale, Arizona has a number of incredible dining experiences for you to enjoy during your time there. From steak to fresh seafood, French cuisine and more, you can have a fine dining experience for any culinary craving. This article has some good tips on the top spots in Scottsdale that you simply cannot miss. Unless, you live there, you probably wouldn’t have time to visit them all, but hopefully this will be a good roadmap to ensure you get to try some of the best food that Scottsdale has to offer.

Sea Saw

This incredible sushi restaurant always has extremely fresh and delicious fish. They also have a great wine list, so you can find the perfect bottle to go with your sushi. They have a collection of over 2,500 different wines, so there’s bound to be something perfect for just about everyone. If you want a truly special treat, the call ahead and order the 8 course Omakase pairing menu, and savor some of the best sushi you’ve ever had in your life.

Bourbon Steak House

Located at the Fairmont Princess, Bourbon Steak House is run by award winning chef Michael Mina, who was named Bon Appetit Chef of 2005. For steak connoisseurs, be sure and try the 8 oz American Kobe Beef Filet for $72, or if you’re feeling particularly indulgent, you can get the Japanese Wagyu 6 oz. NY Strip for $150. Prices can run a bit high, but the food is excellent, so if you’re willing to spend a pretty penny on dinner, this is the place to go.

Petite Maison

If you’re in the mood for French food, this is the place to be. Chef Jimmy Porter opened this French country bistro with the idea of creating “food for the people.” The duck breast is particularly fantastic, as is the chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese. The Roasted Heritage Chicken and the Salade Nicoise are also worth noting. The restaurant can be somewhat hard to find, and is located on Shoemaker Lane in downtown Scottsdale, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled as you’re driving along.

Binkleys

This small restaurant has a great cozy ambiance, and absolutely exquisite food. Julia Child, James Beard and Jacques Pepin have been spotted at Binkleys having dinner, indicative of the caliber of food served here. There is an excellent Sole Menuniere and the flat steak with double fried pomme frites is to die for. The restaurant can only hold 30 people, so be sure and make a reservation far in advance. This is a definite don’t miss for those with a discerning palate.

The List Goes On and On…

Scottsdale is home to a considerable number of fine dining establishments. Hopefully this list has given you a couple good starting points, with recommendations on a variety of different cuisines. So explore, taste, and enjoy the fine dining life in Scottsdale, Arizona.
