Top 5 Restaurants in Dallas

Dallas is one of the largest cities in the country, and home to a veritable smorgasbord of fine restaurants for you to dine in. Regardless of whether you are a local or just visiting, you should be sure and try some of the eateries listed below. No matter what kind of food you are looking for, there is something for you in Dallas.

Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse

The incredible ambiance of the Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse does not overshadow the excellent quality of the food served there. The Y.O. Ranch has been a brand since 1880, and the standards that come with such a heritage will not be lost on anyone that dines there. There is a 150 year old barn and countless photographs on the walls, which help to make this a truly unique dining experience.

Their hand-cut, Grade A beef is absolutely incredible, and their buffalo filet mignon is “one of the best steaks in the nation” according to the Food Network Channel. For those guests who would like to try something other than red meat, there are a whole host of options including: Stuffed Trout Almondine, Rock Lobster Tail and Sweet & Spicy Quail.

Perry’s

Located in Dallas’ uptown district, Perry’s was rated as one of the Exceptional Restaurants of Texas by Gourmet Magazine. The excellent service and high-backed leather booths are just two of the aesthetic qualities that make this a great place to dine.

As an appetizer try the Mussel Roaste or the Stuffed Mushrooms, both are absolutely incredible. The Filet Steak Oscar and the Oven Roasted Chicken are also particularly delightful as entrees. Perry’s was rated extremely high by Zagat, and you’ll see why if you have the opportunity to eat there during your visits to restaurants in Dallas.

The French Room

Although ‘The French Room’ seems an unconventional name for a Dallas restaurant, this renowned eatery leaves little to be desired. The New York Times described it as “indisputably the most striking and sumptuous restaurant in Dallas,” and was reviewed as “extraordinary to perfection” by Zagat. Come to The French Room and find out what all the talk is about.

The dishes on the menu are recognized for their depth of flavour, freshness of ingredients, and complexity of composition. A trip to The French Room is a dining experience that you are not likely to forget.

Abacus

Abacus focuses on including elements of Creole, American, Cajun and Pacific Rim cuisines. The resultant dishes are both exquisite and unique. The menu is updated monthly, so the choice of entrees is always changing with the season and ingredients, but regardless of what you choose for your meal, you’re going to enjoy it.

Use of USDA Prime Aged Meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, and masterful culinary artistry will leave you wondering when you will be able to make it back for another meal.

Chamberlain’s Fish Market Grill

Chamberlain’s Fish Market Grill was rated as Exceptional by Zagat, and has a diverse menu that changes with the seasons. There is a vast assortment of incredible fish entrees, along with steak and lobster dishes as well.

The Honduran Tilapia with Citrus Macadamia Crust is unbelievable, as is the Cioppino Seafood Stew. One of the best aspects of Chamberlain’s is that you get a wonderful meal without breaking the bank to do it. Many of the entrees are around $20 - $25 dollars, making it the perfect place to impress a date, without spending too much in the process.

Visit Them All if You Can

Depending on how much time you have in Dallas, you may only be able to try one of these fantastic restaurants. No matter what you pick you won’t be disappointed, but for a truly comprehensive tour of what Dallas has to offer, you should try and make it to all of these establishments.
