LCB Orlando participates in Ice Cream Social

The 1st annual Ice Cream Social put on by Ronald McDonald House Charities was a great success!  The event was held at the Winter Park Civic Center on Saturday, April 9, and the weather was perfect for a day filled with ice cream treats!  Students prepared, decorated, cut and served over 300 pieces of cake to the guests.  Besides serving cake, the students also ran the Cake Walk activity.  The 20 cakes given away during the Cake Walk were also prepared and decorated by our students, Chef Sarah Bethel and Chef Jean Rene Thiery.  At times it seemed the adults were having just as much fun as the kids!  The Ice Cream Social was a great family event, and we look forward to partnering with the Ronald McDonald House and the Ice Cream Social again next year!
