Student Council Members Participate in ACF Event

On Tuesday, April 5, LCB Orlando student council members and faculty advisors participated in the annual ACF Taste of Compassion held at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Orlando.  The ACF Taste of Compassion event brings together Orlando's top chefs preparing a variety of dishes to taste.  Taste of Compassion supports two organizations that help those homeless in our city, Compassion Corner Ministry and Central Care Mission.  Chef Jason Shenefield and Chef Joe Jeffries worked with students Claire Cunningham, Ed Corbit, Matt Ohalloran, and James Rowe to serve over 600 guests their seared chicken on a fennel and citrus salad. The guests raved about the dish, and some came back for seconds!  We look forward to participating again next year!
