Home Bartending Devices worth Having for Your Next Cocktail Party

Since early civilization people have been drinking alcohol and getting together to regal stories over a drink. Times have changed and home cocktail parties have become quite popular. There is something about getting together with your friends and family to unwind after a long work week over a few drinks and spend some quality time together. At Dallas cooking schools you will learn the importance of pairing the right drink with different types of dishes, especially around the holidays. Here is a list of must have tools for any armature bartender to make your next cocktail party a smashing success.

Cocktail Shakers
The cocktail shaker is used to mix drinks and when ice is added to chill them quickly. Perfect for home made martinis or margaritas on the rocks a cocktail shaker is a classic home bar accessory.

Picks
Many drinks are garnished with a fruit or vegetable, giving them that extra bit of flavor. If you want to impress your friends, nothing does this better than unique and interesting bar picks. Instead of using boring old wooden toothpicks, get some metal or plastic picks to hold the garnish in place.

Wine Chillers
This is a great piece to have if your love of the culinary arts leads you to hold your cocktail parties outside. Wine chillers eliminate the need for an ice chest and will keep your wine cool for hours, even in warm weather.

Decanter
Decanters come in a variety of shapes and sizes and will add a touch of class to any dinner or cocktail party. Mostly used for red wine, they allow the wine to breathe and oxygenate for a while before drinking.

Jigger
Mixing drinks is a science and nothing will ruin a perfect cocktail like to much of one ingredient. A jigger is a great way to make sure you are always getting just the right blend by measuring out just the right amount of liquor each time.

Muddler
A muddler is another specialty piece that is used for making more advanced drinks. They allow you to mash up the ingredients of a drink directly in the bottom of a glass. Your friends will surely be impressed when you pull out a muddler to mix them up a perfect mojito.

Bar Spoon
With a long twisted handle and small round end bar spoons come in very handy for mixing tall drinks or retrieving garnishes such as olives from jars. They can also help stir larger container like pitchers or punch bowls.

If you have a love for home entertaining and the culinary arts than consider enrolling in one of the great Dallas cooking schools.
