How to Wow Your Guests for a Christmas Celebration
One of the best things about the holiday season is the chance to entertain family and friends, Whether you love lighting up the neighborhood with your Christmas lights or prefer to amaze your guests with the skills you’ve picked up at Los Angeles cooking schools ‘tis the season for entertaining. Here are some sure fire ways to wow your guests at your next Christmas celebration and spark your interest in enrolling in some exciting cooking classes.
Throw a Christmas Cookie Party
Everyone loves a sweet treat this time of year so what better way to celebrate with friends than to have them share their favorite cookie recipes. Ask all your friends and neighbors to bake a batch of their most beloved Christmas cookies and print out several copies of the recipe. Once all of your guests are assembled not only will you have a great cookie tasting pasty but each guest can take new recipes home with them to incorporate into their own holiday traditions.
Christmas Tree Decorating Party
Sometimes it seems like a big job putting up and decorating a Christmas tree but this year why do it alone? Invite a group of friends over, provide them with holiday snacks, Christmas music and perhaps even a little eggnog and then have everyone put up the tree together. This is a great way to spend time with friends while sharing with them little mementos of holidays past.
Throw a Themed Cocktail Party
While Halloween may be far behind us, everyone loves an excuse to get dressed up. Take down all your decorations and have a “Grinch” party or invite your friends to arrive dressed as their favorite Christmas character, while the holidays are a time for family and reflection they are also a time for fun. Put those cooking classes to use and serve up some great appetizers pair them with a few holiday cocktails and you will have a party that is sure to wow your guests.
Sledding Parties
Not all of your holiday entertaining needs to be conducted inside. Break out the sleds, snow shoes or cross-country skies and get your next event on the road. There is nothing more romantic than a cold night lit by candle light so get everyone outside to build snowmen or make an igloo then wow them with hot chocolate around a hot fire. Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you are stuck inside until the spring.
If you would like to learn how to prepare dynamite holiday dishes to serve at your next get together you would probably enjoy one of the many fine Los Angeles cooking schools.
