Top Atlanta Pastry Chefs Compete

Stars in Atlanta's culinary industries will come together on Wednesday, March 2 for the 4th Annual Great American Baking Contest, a fundraiser for Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger. Sponsored in part by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles and held at Atlanta's Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts in Tucker, Georgia, this fourth-annual competition will showcase the talents of Atlanta's leading and up-and-coming pastry chefs, who will compete for prizes in four major categories, including professional, amateur, student and children's. Guests of the event will enjoy a sampling of each dessert, complimentary wines, cake and a silent auction. And this year's judges include the likes of executive chef Todd Kazenske from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Atlanta, The Cook's Warehouse proprietor Mary Moore, pastry chef Jennifer Etchison of Pricci, pastry chef Heather Hurlbert of the Cherokee Town & Country Club (and a contestant on Bravo TV's "Top Chef: Just Desserts"), as well as chef Jenny Turknett, a dining team member for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The judging begins at 7:30 p.m., but VIP guests can enter early at 6:30 for a special reception with Q100's own Jenn Hobby. Regular admission is $25 and VIP admission is $35. Dessert lovers, click here to purchase your tickets now!
