March 1, 2011 Le Cordon Bleu General, Orlando 0 Comments

Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Orlando (LCBO) hosted the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Induction dinner on Friday, February 25.  The evening kicked off with the dedication of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Center for Culinary Arts Education classroom.  The classroom features memorabilia and awards collected over the years by Bob and Muriel Uttal, Orlando Bailli.

Following the dedication ceremony, three Le Cordon Bleu Chefs, Chef Edward Leonard, CMC, Executive Chef, Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America, Chef Richard Barth, Lead Culinary Instructor and Chef Jean Rene Thiery, Chef Instructor, were inducted as Chef Rôtisseurs into the organization.  In addition, ten students, Jason Agin, Lucas Anderson, Robert Bergadine, Stephanie Hagin, Dean Holland, Niki Nikatos, Kristopher Pelotte, Joseph Piscitelli, Orbie Straily, and Martha Van Langen were inducted into the organization as Rôtisseurs, young professionals.  The students, who are also members of the LCBO competition team, led by Chef Klaus Friedenreich, CMC, and a member of the Chaine, were inducted because they recently took home the Gold medal at the State American Culinary Federation (ACF) Competition and the Silver medal at the Southeast Regional ACF Competition.  The induction ceremony was conducted by Sandra Miller, Chancelier National, and Joe Caruso, Bailli Deleque Honoraire, 2005-2008.

La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is an international gastronomic society founded in 1950 in Paris to revive the traditions of the royal guild of goose roasters chartered in 1248. The Chaîne is dedicated to bringing together those who share a mutual interest in cuisine, wine, and fine dining in a spirit of camaraderie.  For professional members, such as chefs, restaurateurs and hoteliers, the Chaîne offers opportunities to demonstrate their exceptional skills and creativity to a discerning, appreciative audience.

We are very proud of our chefs and students, and we're looking forward to a great partnership with the Chaine des Rotisseurs organization and members!  Congratulations to all those inducted!  What a great honor!
