New England Minors Culinary Challenge comes to LCB Boston

This past Sunday we had an ACF/Nestle sponsored event held at the school where Instructors, Students, and Industry Professionals competed in a variety of Culinary Challenges.The event was a complete success!  32 contestants competed in two very different categories in this ACF sanctioned event.  We had 16 of our Chefs & Students compete in the “K” category where we had 5 of our students received Certificates for their hard work. Three of our chefs competed, Bill Walker received a Bronze Medal, Dave Lentini earned a Siler Medal & Abby “I Am A Rock Star” Ferrer received a Gold Medal.

In the “W” category, a Professional & Student mystery basket competition, all participants competed in a 3.5 hours competition where they were required to make 4 courses 10 plates of each. We had 7 students and 2 of our chefs compete and we definetly held our own. James Henry received a certificate and Bill Bradley received Bronze. We had some of our students receive Silver, Bronze and certificates.  For all that competed thank you for your hard work and dedication to our craft.
