How to Prepare the Ultimate Breakfast in Bed
Anyone who has had breakfast in bed prepared for them can tell you just how awesome the experience truly is. There's nothing like waking up to an aroma of delicious food that has been prepared with love to get you going in the morning. Fortunately it’s one way to celebrate the culinary even if you have very little training. The following steps show you exactly how to deliver that warm feeling to the loved one in your life…and with Mother’s Day being right around the corner, we know just who you can spoil!
Step # 1: First you must plan ahead by knowing what time the recipient will be waking up. This can be tricky depending on if they work, or don't work. You will also need to consider their natural sleeping pattern. You see if you are going to be preparing the ultimate breakfast in bed you will need to catch them BEFORE they get out of bed in the morning. Don't worry about waking them from a restful sleep. The good thing about breakfast in bed is the point between when they are awaken, and the point that they realize you have taken the time to wake up extra early to cook, and surprise them with a meal. So in short, prepare ahead of time by figuring out the sleep schedule of the recipient so that you can successfully wake up early enough to quietly prepare a meal for them before they awaken.
Step # 2: Next, you will want to protect yourself in case by some crazy chance they wake up before they were supposed to. You do this by writing a note that reads something like, "A special treat is being prepared just for you! Please remain in your bed for a few more moments. Your gift will arrive shortly! Happy Mother’s Day!"
Step # 3: Now is the time to prepare the place setting. Anyone can surprise their mom with breakfast, but if you want to know how to prepare the ultimate breakfast in bed, then you will want to be aware of proper presentation. Just like even the most prestige San Francisco culinary restaurants, you need your meal to be appealing! First, you will need a tray. Arrange a fork, knife, and spoon on a folded cloth napkin in the lower right hand corner. Next get a small vase, and place a fresh, or fabric, flower in the right hand corner. As for the rest of the tray, you will place as you see fit, a glass for juice, a plate for the main breakfast item (s), and any extra little bowls they will need filled with jelly, butter, and any other condiments needed. To really make it the ultimate breakfast in bed, you can cut the butter into heart shapes. Additionally, you can make a small menu, or card with the date, and details of the breakfast that they can keep for memories
Step # 4: Begin making the desired food. It doesn't have to be a plethora of items, just a few will do. The thought is in the action! Being that you have already prepared the place setting, you only have to place the food on the platter and take it straight to the recipients room while its nice and hot! (unless it’s cold cereal of course!) Also be sure to pour drink of choice into the glass.
Step # 5: Enter the room quietly, and present your mom with your surprise. To make it special, be sure to sit with her as she enjoys her meal. Be sure to clean up the kitchen for added surprise, after all, that is one of the most important parts of letting others enjoy all the benefits of the culinary arts…without all the mess!
Remember, even if something should go wrong along the way, fortunately living in California provides you with a bountiful array of San Francisco culinary choices as a backup plan!
